| September 2006 NEWS East Yorkshire company races ahead East Yorkshire-based WHF Limited is celebrating after announcing £1million worth of new orders which are set to see the company’s turnover double. The announcement comes following a staggeringly successful 10 years operating across the UK and beyond. The company, founded by Mike Watson and Andrew Hunter, former colleagues at Pocklington Coachworks, has recently been awarded a number of new orders from new and existing clients further enforcing its position as market leader in the field of custom-built support trailers and hospitality units.
The company, founded in 1998, currently employs 22 people from its state of the art Market Weighton factory, and enjoys success in a number of sectors including motor racing where its trailers can be seen at some of the world’s top racing tracks. One of their most exciting recent projects saw them manufacture a trailer for use by British Touring Car Championship father and son team, Mike and Andrew Jordan to transport thousands of pounds worth of Honda Integra racing cars and kit. The team sponsored by John Guest Racing, used the trailer at the recent race held at Donington Park, where they both finished in the top ten. The trailer is fitted with workshop and storage facilities as well as a green room where the team and their guests can relax before and after the race. The company was also responsible for the trailer currently used by the Formula 1 Red Bull Team. Mike Jordan said: "We are extremely pleased with our trailer. The guys at WHF were an absolute pleasure to work with whilst it was being built, and whilst it was the biggest purchase I have made in 20 years in business, the whole process and the final product made it one of the most satisfying purchases I have ever made." Mike Watson, joint founder and director said: "We are thrilled with the way the business is growing. The past few years have been hard work, but these recent orders show that our efforts have been recognised. We've always aimed to become the manufacturer of choice, and the fact that exiting clients choose us time and time again is a great honour, and testament to the quality of our vehicles." "Our fully fledged service, repair and maintenance facility has been a great benefit to clients and shows that we're not just after a short term fix. We’re in it for the long run and are here to support the vehicle throughout its life." |
